CityPlace Toronto exposing the Concord Apex built fiasco

CityPlace Home Invasion

Innocent victims robbed or an armed drug deal gone wrong?

Google

The lackluster security has proven disastrous for some unlucky City Place residents. Several people tied up, robbed and beaten. How did the criminals get in? According to official statements posted in the elevators at City Place the assailants used City Place FOB's. They refuse to fill anyone in but are sure trying to convince everyone nothing is up. I wont go on about it but am posting several media links so the savvy reader can see for themselves. One thing I do want to point out; when you move into CityPlace they request you sign a document relieving them of responsibility for unlawful entry or lost packages (they accept all packages at front desk). They have a master key and said keys are located at front desk. They (Concord) demand everyone sign documents that state they are not responsible for unlawful entry to your suite with their master key! Here is a copy of that key waiver plus a document they want to relieve them of parcel responsibilities. There has been illegal entry with a pass key.

Update: Several people within CityPlace have claimed the Home Invasion was a drug deal gone wrong. We have not been able to confirm this.

It is not unusual for City Place "security" to let anyone in. Daily people come home to find flyers and ads on their doors for things such as housecleaning services, blind makers, etc. There was also a recent complaint about someone leaving ads on every single car windshield in the underground parkade.  Knock knock, people wandering the halls, setting off car alarms one by one. No one notices, no one cares.

Andrejs Managment's representative, Maria,  claimed in writing steps had been taken to beef up security. No evidence of any action exists. To date (Nov 23 2006) security is non existent. The hired security guards have no idea who is in the building as evidenced by the recent heat failure where security was unaware workers had shut the heat down. Perhaps the solution is for residents/strata to take some initiative, fire the current management along with their employees. As witnessed by a recent email to this site from someone we suspect is building staff, the respect level for their job and residents is extremely low.
