Oh what a Summer
it was. Heat records set and CityPlace faulty AC units left
residents to sweat it out. Yes the Air Conditioning was a
big fiasco and the solution was to remove a part from suite
AC units. Parts that switch the blower from hot to cold. So
what does that mean? It means there is no heat capability in
CityPlace condos. Residents are putting up with this. Why?
well it simply isn't cold outside yet. It seems the average
CityPlace resident takes what they are given and pays for it
without question. Until of course the massive discomfort of
extreme weather reminds them.
This site has
received rave reviews from some. Others are afraid to speak
out. That's why Concord gets away with what they do. Too
many people are afraid to speak out. However when the
temperatures drop and the heat long forgotten becomes issue
number one these same people will be screaming bloody
murder.
I have no love
or respect for Concord or the lackeys they hire. But
residents themselves are also to blame for taking Concords
abuse. There is this strange need to convince themselves
they made the right purchase with CityPlace regardless of
all the problems. They want to believe in the hype they
bought - that CityPlace is class and distinction. Where is
the class? Water leaks, no AC, no heat, bad electrical,
terrible management, home invasions, FOB's getting erased,
yet unwashed windows .... hmmm.
Concord is
waiting owners out. When the year is up they walk away and
it becomes the strata's problem. Time to face the fact the
CityPlace is deficient and unless owners want to pay even
more they better pay attention to their own interests.
Waiting for Concord to fix things is like throwing your
wallet to a junkie for safe keeping. Its just ignorant to
think a company with so many false promises and defects is
going to make it all good someday. What are you waiting for?
You paid didn't you? Now where the goods you paid for?
Wait until
winter? Then meet in the lobby as a bunch of "hot" heads?
Might I suggest applying the pressure now? Its very clear at
this point that there are severe problems with CityPlace.
These problems must be dealt with either today or tomorrow.
Waiting for tomorrow will be met with a drastic reduction in
resale value and large increase in maintenance costs. Its
common sense. People wanted to believe in Bre-X too. However
people from the outside aren't so emotionally attached. Who
is going to buy CityPlace when the maintenance costs are
thru the roof to fix all today's mistakes?
How much denial
will you exercise before reality becomes your bankruptcy
chum? What is taking so long? The heat alone is a long
standing issue. Why do these units not work? They've been in
place a long time. This is a giant alarm bell. What about
those leaks in the parkades? Where is the water coming from?
Why are there foundation cracks in all that concrete? And
the balconies, the concrete is crumbling. Something is very
wrong here.
Time to put the
heat on.
